Learning to drive is about much more than passing a test. It's about building the confidence and skills you'll use every time you get behind the wheel.
I provide calm, patient and professional manual driving lessons, tailoring every lesson to your individual ability, confidence and learning style. Whether you're feeling nervous on your first lesson or working towards your practical test, I'll help you progress at a pace that feels right for you.
Many of my pupils describe me as relaxed, approachable and easy to talk to, creating a positive learning environment where you can ask questions, build confidence and enjoy learning to drive.
I'm passionate about helping people become safe, confident drivers and continually develop my teaching to give every pupil the best possible learning experience. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing nervous beginners grow into confident, independent drivers.

I particularly enjoy helping nervous learners grow into safe, confident drivers, and seeing that progress is one of the most rewarding parts of being a driving instructor. Every lesson is calm, patient and tailored to your pace, giving you the time and support you need to build confidence behind the wheel.
Yes. I'm an independent driving instructor, so every lesson is personally taught by me. You'll never be passed between different instructors, and every lesson builds on the last because I know your progress, your confidence and the areas you want to improve. I believe that consistency plays a big part in helping learners feel relaxed, supported and ready for their driving test.
Your first lesson is all about helping you feel relaxed and comfortable behind the wheel. We'll start by chatting about any previous driving experience, your confidence and what you'd like to achieve. I'll introduce you to the car, explain the controls clearly and answer any questions before we set off. There's no pressure or expectations, just a calm, patient approach designed to help you enjoy your first driving lesson and build confidence from the very beginning.
Everyone learns at a different pace, so there's no fixed number of lessons. I'll assess your current experience and create a lesson plan that's tailored to your ability, helping you build the skills and confidence needed to become a safe driver and prepare for your driving test.
Yes. I offer intensive and semi-intensive driving courses, subject to availability. If you're hoping to pass within a specific timeframe, get in touch as early as possible and I'll do my best to accommodate your preferred dates.
I'm based in Gourdon and provide manual driving lessons all the way along the coastal route through to Aberdeen South. Whether you're in Johnshaven, Inverbervie, Catterline, Stonehaven, Newtonhill, Portlethen, Cove, Kincorth, Ferryhill or a nearby area, I'll be happy to discuss your lesson requirements and let you know if I cover your location.
You'll learn in a modern manual car that's fitted with dual controls and air conditioning. I take pride in keeping the car well maintained, clean and comfortable, so you can focus on learning in a safe and enjoyable environment.
Getting started is easy. The quickest way to get in touch is by WhatsApp, although you're also welcome to call or use the contact form. If you can, let me know which area you live in, your general availability (for example weekday evenings or Saturday mornings) and whether you've had any previous driving experience. If I'm teaching, I may not be able to reply immediately, but I'll always do my best to respond between lessons or get back to you as soon as I can. Together, we'll discuss your options and arrange your first lesson at a time that works for both of us.
